2019 Conference – Community Action for WildlifeCome along and find out more about how we can all help with Nature’s Recovery.

Saturday 6th July – Jubilee Hall, Chagford  – all day event  (likely 9.30 – 4.30)

2019 is the UK’s Year of Green Action and is all about connecting people with nature and us all taking much needed positive action for our environment.  To help inspire and enthuse action our conference this year is focusing on how community groups can help with nature’s recovery across Devon. The day will include a mixture of talks, workshops/ discussion groups, site visits and id training based in and around the centre of beautiful Chagford.  HUGE thanks to all those involved and to South West Water for sponsoring the event.

We are finalising the agenda in the next few weeks but the following are confirmed (will be a mix of short talks, displays, workshops / discussion groups, site visits etc):

Through the eyes of birds – what we can learn by seeing the world from above – Sacha Dench, ‘The Human Swan’ – Sacha will draw on tales from her groundbreaking ‘Flight of the Swans’ expedition and other adventures to inspire us all to be more ambitious for nature.  Find out more about her flight from Arctic Russia to the UK by paramotor to help save the Bewick’s swan at http://www.sachadench.com/
