Naturally Healthy month

Each year the Devon LNP coordinates Naturally Healthy Month.  This is usually in May and is a month long campaign to raise the profile of Naturally Healthy and encourage people to try something new.

Devon’s natural environment is amazing and offers a variety of ways for us all to be naturally healthy. Naturally Healthy month is all about getting outdoors and enjoying our beautiful surroundings and feeling happier and healthier for it.

May is an ideal opportunity to make some time for yourself and connect to nature and there is clear evidence that this offers huge benefits to our physical health, mental health and wellbeing.

During the month LNP partners share ideas and activities via these web pages and social media.  If you are a provider who would like to be involved in Naturally Healthy month in 2020, or to find out more about Naturally Healthy, contact Tom.Mack@activedevon.org or Kirstie.Pritchard@devon.gov.uk.

‘It is not a pill or potion but consider connecting with nature as a prescription. One that works, costs nothing and has no side effects. It is so easy to do, just take that step outside to start with. The most important thing is you enjoy it. Think of it as an opportunity to invest a bit of time in looking after yourself, your family and this place we call home.” Dr James Szymankiewicz, North Devon GP and Chair of the Devon Local Nature Partnership.
